Alan Judge has dropped a huge hint about his Brentford future, insisting the Griffin Park club is "the right place to be."

The 28-year-old is out of contract in the summer and hasn't played since he sustained a double fracture almost 12 months ago against Ipswich Town at Portman Road, but has been back in non-contact training at the club.

He was linked with a move to Newcastle in the January transfer window, but with only months remaining on his deal Judge has strongly hinted that he is ready to sign a new contract at Brentford.

Speaking to the Irish Times , he said: "I’ll find out what’s going to happen in the next week or so.

"I’ll make a decision, but Brentford to me, at this moment in time, feels like the right place to be.

"They’ve been good to me and I feel that when I’ve been playing I’ve been good for them, so we fit now and leaving when my last game was the one where I broke my leg never felt completely right.

"Hopefully you’ll see a bit of news in the next few days."
