Brentford midfielder Ryan Woods has called on the Bees to take their first half performance against Bristol City into Tuesday's game with Leeds.

The west Londoners were superb in the opening 45 minutes against the Robins, with the midfielder pulling the strings, and a repeat performance will be needed to claim three points against Garry Monk's side.

Leeds will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to play-off rivals Reading and they will aim to ensure they are at home in the second leg of the play-offs.

Woods said: “Leeds are doing really well, they're on a good run of form, but the way we played today we can take the confidence into the game on Tuesday.

“It's all about taking that first half into the first half on Tuesday, hopefully we can improve on what we did in the second half as well, because that's what it's all about now for us.

“We're a very good young side, we've got a lot to learn, but we can only get better.”

One of the most pleasing aspects about the victory was the fact that Brentford kept a clean sheet for the first time since January and this will further improve confidence in the camp.

Woods added: “The clean sheet is good confidence for the back four, for the whole squad, as we say every week we know we're capable of scoring goals - it's just keeping them out. We were brilliant at that today.”
