Andreas Bjelland has confirmed the Brentford squad have spoken about their difficulties defending leads.

The Bees have dropped 18 points from winning positions and, had they retained their advantage, would be second in the table, two points clear of Cardiff. If they'd only dropped nine then they would be in the play-off places.

Bjelland admitted it's a concern but is only looking ahead with Fulham visiting Griffin Park on Saturday.

He said: “We've spoken about it a bit but we go game to game. We have to look ahead.

“It's more about doing better at the next game and controlling the things we learned from Monday night and not doing the same mistakes.”

He added: “It's more about knowing what we're doing, doing it together and sticking to the plan. We had space but we started to launch it long and different to what we do.

“It's more sticking to the game plan, as long as we do it together. It's more doing it at the right time and together.”

Bjelland paid tribute to the Brentford fans on Monday night and wants to see them carry it on in TW8 on Saturday.

He added: “I must give it to the crowd. They did really well for us. It was tremendous from our fans. It's a new game for us and we want the three points. I hope they carry on from Monday night.”
