The Brentford squad return to London on Friday evening after spending the past seven days in Germany at a training camp.

The Bees also continued their match preparation with a friendly against 2 Bundesliga side VFL Bochum and Dean Smith's side triumphed by a goal to nil.

Scott Hogan scored the only goal of the game as he played 66 minutes of the friendly before he was replaced by Romaine Sawyers.

Maxime Colin, Yoann Barbet, Lewis Macleod, Konstantin Kerschbaumer played in the first half, with Andreas Bjelland, John Egan, Alan McCormack and Philipp Hofmann featuring in the second.

Ryan Woods played 66 minutes before he was replaced by Jan Holldack with Nico Yennaris playing 75 minutes before Lasse Vibe came on. Daniel Bentley, Harlee Dean and Josh Clarke all played the full 90 minutes.

Double sessions were regular occurrences and there was even a 7.15am fitness session to strengthen the players ahead of the new campaign.

Plenty of time was spent on the pitches but there was also time for team bonding as the new faces to the squad had to sing a song as part of their initiation.

After two rounds of voting, Holldack was deemed the worst singer for his rendition of Lukas Graham's Seven Years.

Goalkeeper Bentley impressed the most with his rendition of Mysterious Girl by Peter Andre which led to him singing in the swimming pool, much to the amusement of the rest of the squad and avoided having to sing again.

The squad were also introduced to long throw world record holder Thomas Gronnemark and he provided specialist coaching in that department.

The Bees return tonight and will be able to see their families again before the work begins again.

Brentford will be back in action on English soil on Tuesday when they travel to Wycombe Wanderers.
