Brentford are ready to offer a new deal to keeper David Button.

The former Spurs youngster has been an almost ever-present between the sticks for the Bees since his switch from Charlton Athletic last summer.

Button made 45 appearances, keeping 20 clean sheets, as Mark Warburton's men clinched promotion to the Championship.

The 25-year-old's deal at the club still has 12 months to run, but Brentford have opened negotiations to try and tie his future to the club beyond 2015.

Button came through the ranks at White Hart Lane but left north London with just one substitute's appearance in the League Cup to his name.

He spent time on loan at 11 different clubs before signing permanently for Charlton in 2013. However, he failed to nail down a regular starting spot at the Valley before making the switch across the capital the following summer.
