Florian Jozefzoon says he wants to be a "main player" for Brentford next season in what will be his first full campaign in England.

The wideman, who joined from PSV Eindhoven earlier this year, is currently in pre-season with his Bees team-mates and has had time to adjust to the English style of football, compared to in the Netherlands.

Jozefzoon is feeling confident ahead of the new season and believes Brentford can surprise a few of the bigger teams with their attractive style of football.

So what's the differences he has noticed so far in England?

"I think the tempo and physique. In Holland it's wait for the opponent to make a mistake whereas here we start from the beginning," said the 26-year-old.

"It's more physical here. All the defenders are really big. It all goes with how you play the football.

"It's really different. After 60 minutes (in my first game) I couldn't move anymore. I had cramp everywhere. It was hard at the beginning but I got through it.

"Brentford play nice football. It's looking good. I want to be important for the team, help them and be a main player in the team and help each of my team-mates.

"I'm looking to be in many games and to win as many as we can and play against the big teams. I think it's going to be a nice season."
