Brentford open contract talks with experienced duo

O'Connor and Lee set to be offered new deals at Griffin Park

Stalwart: Kevin O'Connor has made almost 500 appearances for Brentford

Brentford have opened talks with captain Kevin O'Connor and Richard Lee about extending their contracts at Griffin Park.

Bees stalwart O'Connor and keeper Lee are in the final six months of their current deals, which are due to expire in the summer.

Both players have been restricted to bit-part roles this season. O'Connor has made nine appearances, while Lee has played just five times after missing the beginning of the campaign with a shoulder injury.

However, boss Mark Warburton is keen to keep the experienced pair in TW8 and has started negotiations to sign up them up for another year.
