Toumani Diagouraga will be assessed ahead of Brentford's vital home game with Bolton after coming off injured against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Frenchman suffered the knock in a collision and saw his hand strapped up, before being replaced by Alan McCormack in the 1-0 defeat.

And manager Mark Warburton revealed after the game that the midfielder's confidence had been hit after suffering the blow.

He said: “He fell and the guy's knee caught him on the head and he trod on his arm, hence the wrist being strapped up and supported.

“We have to be very careful and the medical team were happy and they know their stuff.

“It just put him off. He's worked so hard recently and Macca has been chomping to get back on and he did very well when he came on.”
