Nico Yennaris revealed the most satisfying moment of the season was reaching his goal target of six, which he set at the start of the campaign.

The Brentford midfielder found the net against Huddersfield, Birmingham, Aston Villa, Rotherham, Ipswich and Fulham this season to add to the two he scored last season.

And Yennaris, who was the only player to feature in all the Bees' games, was satisfied with how his season had gone.

“I set myself a target of six goals and I've reached that so I'm pretty pleased with that,” he said.

“Being able to play in as many games I have this year. When I set myself a target and reached it, I think it has to be that.”

The best part of that was the manner in which Yennaris reached his target; netting in Brentford's 1-1 draw with Fulham.

He added: “It was nice to top off the target against Fulham in a west London derby knowing what it meant for the fans.”
