Sam Saunders is chomping at the bit to take on QPR and give the Brentford fans something to smile about after a difficult start to 2016.

The Bees have only won two games all year, beating Preston and Wolves, and fans have been left frustrated by the level of performances, particularly in defeats to Rotherham and Charlton.

And the popular winger knows that picking up three points against Rangers is of vital importance to the fans.

Saunders said: “All the boys are looking forward to that. We know how much it means to the fans. Being at the club for such a long time I know how big they are.

“I can't wait for it. I love playing in those big games. It won't be bad if we go over there and turn them over. It'd be nice.”

The 32-year-old Saunders, who signed a new contract in February, has made 15 appearances for Brentford so far this season, scoring in the 1-1 draw with Leeds in January.
