Alan Judge admits neither he nor Brentford were at their best last night – but it's about time they got the rub of the green.

Judge seemed almost too eager to impress against his former club and was replaced by Toumani Diagouraga just after the hour mark at his old Ewood Park stomping ground.

The Bees seemed to be heading to defeat when they went in 2-1 down at the break after a sloppy first half showing, but turned things around superbly after the break to snatch all three points .

It was in stark contrast to last Saturday's home defeat to Cardiff , and many others besides, where Brentford have dominated possession and chances but been unable to finish teams off.

Judge said: “I couldn't even control the ball tonight, it was just one of those things. Fortunately it was only a bruise when I came off, but it seems just my luck at the moment.

“The whole team wasn't at its best tonight, but the boys pulled off a great comeback, and it's about time we got a win when not playing as well as we can rather than being unlucky in defeat.

“Jota gave us the lift we needed with an unbelievable bit of skill, and sometimes you just need that moment of magic or a bit of luck – we have been due it.

“It was a good thing for us to not play particularly well but still show the the spirit and character to come from behind twice away from home, and bodes well for the run in.”
