Brentford have made excellent progress on the site of their new stadium at Lionel Road with the Capital Court building demolished and cleared.

The Bees are currently working on preparing the site for the stadium build, which is expected to start early in the new year.

For that to happen, though, Hounslow Council will have to decide whether to approve the planning amendments submitted by the club. The meeting takes place on December 7.

The demolition had to be done slowly given the proximity to railway lines and neighbours, with dust suppression units brought in to minimise the inconvenience. You can see a time lapse video of the demolition in the video above.

Brentford are hoping to move into the new ground by 2019 and could make a move mid-season but the EFL will only sanction this if the move takes place in the first half of the season.
