Brentford are investigating transportation options after moving the venue of their pre-season friendly against FC Lausanne-Sport.

The Bees, who are currently on a training camp in France, were due to play at Stade de Mercy de Saint-Prex but, after a pitch inspection, the club felt the playing surface would lead to an injury risk.

The match had been planned to take place at the Stade Olympique de la Pontaise but Lausanne suggested the alternative venue due to an athletics event.

The match will now take place at Brentford's training camp, Complexe Sportif de Divonne-les-Bains, with the game kicking off at 4pm (3pm BST) with Bees fans welcome.

The French town is approximately 15km from Geneva and a 20 minute drive from the airport and the club have confirmed they are looking to find a way to help supporters get there.

A club statement read: "The Club are currently investigating transportation options for fans that have made arrangements to get to Saint-Prex in order to assist them getting to Divonne-les-Bains. More information will follow in due course but support will be provided.

"As well as the match, there will be a chance to fans to meet the Brentford players and staff afterwards. The squad will be available for autographs and photographs after the final whistle against Lausanne-Sport.

"Apologies for any inconvenience caused, we look forward to seeing you at the match."
