Brentford keeper Liam O'Brien will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The former QPR youngster was brought in on a short-term deal in August as cover for the injured Richard Lee.

O'Brien was handed an extension in November and again in January in a deal that runs for the rest of the campaign.

But with Lee back to fitness and David Button and Jack Bonham also under contract for another 12 months, the 22-year-old will be allowed to move on.

O'Brien hasn't made a first-team appearance for the Bees, but has featured on the bench and for the development side.

Scott Barron told Get West London last week he will be leaving Brentford in the summer, while Shaleum Logan and Farid El Alagui, who are both out on loan, are unlikely to be offered new deals.

However, Brentford are in talks with Clayton Donaldson about his extending stay at Griffin Park beyond the end of the season.
