Brentford FC fans will be hoping to catch a glimpse of their three new signings when they visit Dagenham & Redbridge tonight.

Andy Scott moved quickly to fill the gaps after strikers Nathan Elder and Jordan Rhodes were ruled out for the forseeable future by bringing in Cheltenham's Damien Spencer and Ipswich's Billy Clarke.

And he brought in some extra defensive cover too in the shape of former Brenford hero Darren Powell, who made 146 appearances for the club between 1998-2002.

The 33-year-old centre-back was twice Brentford's player-of-the-year before leaving for Crystal Palace, and has since played for West Ham and Southampton too.

Spencer is a hulking 27-year-old striker in the Elder mould, who has scored 36 goals in 240 games for Bristol City and Cheltenham.

Clarke, meanwhile, is a 21-year-old frontman who has notched three goals in 49 games for Ipswich, as well as two in 11 games for Republic of Ireland U21s.

He has enjoyed successful loan spells at Darlington and Northampton this season, bagging eight goals in 20 games for the Quakers and three in five for the Cobblers.
