Fanzine editor Nick Hester has thanked the Brentford fans who helped him and his brother buy Brentford's new striker.

Moses Ademola's transfer from Croydon finally went through on Friday after Thorne in the Side, published by Nick and brother Rich, stumped up around £3,000 to land the youngster.

The cash came from sales of the fanzine this season  - and giving money to the Brentford cause is nothing new to the pair.

In the 14 years Thorne in the Side has been going, they have handed over £14,000 to the club, and have helped fund the club's youth development for the past couple of years.

Hester said: "Although it's being publicised as Thorne in the Side putting the money up for Moses, in reality the cash has come from Brentford fans buying our fanzine, so in effect Bees fans have bought their own striker."
