Brentford have already started making moves towards their January recruitment – but Rasmus Ankersen has warned not to expect a flurry of activity.

The Bees spent sparingly in the summer, with only Dan Bentley, Romaine Sawyers, John Egan and Rico Henry brought in as permanent signings.

But with Lewis Macleod since joining Henry and Alan Judge on the long term injured list, the Bees may decide to strengthen, especially if hot property Scott Hogan is tempted away.

Director of football Ankersen said: “We will see what happens in January, but we are definitely looking and are very far with the process now.

Injured: Lewis Macleod

“We already have a few targets we may look to add to the team, but it's not going to a revolution, it's going to be more an evolution.

“Whether it's one, two, three or even none, it's still difficult to say because we are not signing just to sign players.

“We want our targets, and if they're not possible for financial reasons, or because they don't want to come, then it's not that we will necessarily just go and sign someone else.”

The Bees made it two Championship wins in a row when they won 1-0 at Bristol City last night.
