Yoann Barbet is a doubt for Brentford's trip to Rotherham after having an injection in his ankle injury.

The Frenchman has been out of the side this season after sustaining the injury ahead of the trip to Huddersfield.

Brentford midfielder Alan McCormack, though, will miss out given his injury at Exeter, while there are no concerns over Lewis Macleod who was in the wars against Nottingham Forest.

Dean Smith said: “Yoann Barbet has had an injection into his ankle. He's rested for a couple of days and we'll look at it on Friday.

Fit: Lewis Macleod

“Lewis Macleod is okay. He had a slight knock on the ankle. He's training tomorrow and will be fit to play.

“Alan McCormack is back jogging but isn't fit to play. Alan Judge has had a couple of screws taken out and he feels a lot better. He's been away for a couple of days which makes him feel refreshed. He's in good form.

“Jack Bonham hurt his back in training and we had to put Dominic Kurasic on the bench. He's feeling better but you have to be careful. Dominic will be travelling to Rotherham and will probably be on the bench again.”

After two games in the past week, legs will be aching slightly but victories have given the squad an extra spring in their step.

Smith added: “After any tough games like we've had you'll naturally be tired but when you've won both you have that extra spring in your step but they know it'll be tough at Rotherham.

“I've said before that recovery is the most important thing. The lads who didn't play need to get fit for Saturday. The lads who didn't play got some minutes against Chelsea on Wednesday.

“We're getting a full compliment of players but the injured ones are getting closer to match fitness.”
