Brentford defender Chris Mepham has been called up to the Wales U20 squad for the Toulon Tournament in the south of France.

The competition starts in the coming week, and the 19-year-old has been called up to replace Fulham's Aron Davies who will miss the tournament as a result of injury.

Mepham won the B Team's Player of the Season award and made his debut for the senior side in the FA Cup victory over Eastleigh in January and will be one of three Brentford representatives at the tournament.

New signing Theo Archibald will represent Scotland in France while Ellery Balcombe has been called up to the England squad.

Wales get their campaign underway this Tuesday, 30 May, with a game against the hosts France at Stade de Lattre-de-Tassigny, Aubagne, kick-off 6.30pm.

They then take on Bahrain three days later at Stade Parsemain, Fos-sur-Mer, kick-off 4pm, while their final group game is back at the Stade de Lattre-de-Tassigny, Aubagne against Ivory Coast on Monday 5 June, kick-off 4pm.
