Brentford captain Harlee Dean revealed that he had told his Bees' team-mates to go out and beat Derby four or five nil during the pre-match huddle.

The west Londoners were superb against the Rams with Lasse Vibe and Jota bagging two goals apiece to secure the victory.

Brentford had been excellent at Griffin Park in the 2-0 wins against Bristol City and Leeds United but they found another level to give Derby the thrashing the Bees have looked capable of in recent weeks.

Dean said: “It was brilliant. We've been really good at home in the last few games to be honest.

“Funnily enough in the huddle we do before, I said let's go win this four or five nil. You can't compare games as there are different opponents.

“We've got to try and keep our levels. We kicked on another level today and hopefully we can kick on another level on Monday (when we face Barnsley).”
