Brentford's good run of form is giving Dean Smith selection headaches and the head coach has no complaints about having them.
The likes of Sam Saunders, Konstantin Kerschbaumer and others have had limited game time in recent weeks, due to the form of others in the team.
And Smith is enjoying the fact he has got a difficult decision to make each week on selection issues due to a number of players in good form.
And the head coach will have a number of decisions to make before they return to action against Newcastle.
He said: “It's great having that especially when you're doing well. That's my job and that's what I'm paid to do.
“We've got a lot of options and I feel we've got a really good bench at the moment and that's one of our strengths at the moment.”
As Alan McCormack said after his performance against Reading, those not involved in the team will be angry but would be channelling that into their game to force them into the starting line-up.
Smith said: “They'll be disappointed they're not in the team but they'll be pleased for the team. There's healthy competition. While they're disappointed, they've got to up their game into the team.
“I've never seen it as my job to keep them happy. It's their job to show me they're ready to be picked. If somebody throws a strop because they're not playing they're less likely to be picked.”
