Dean Smith hasn't ruled out making another five changes when Brentford travel to Ipswich on Saturday.

The Bees boss shuffled his pack for the 2-2 draw with Bristol City on Tuesday night but he is not guaranteeing any player a spot in the starting XI.

And Smith, who has previously said this is the hardest he's ever had it when it comes to naming a starting XI, may decide to freshen things up again at Portman Road.

He said: “I've got a squad that has an awful lot of quality that allows me to make those changes. The performances haven't been terrible.

“It didn't necessarily warrant me making five changes but with the quality I've got within the squad allows me to freshen things up.”

Kamo Mokotjo

One change that is likely to take place is Kamo Mokotjo coming into the side for Josh McEachran.

The South African was a surprising omission from the starting XI after a man of the match performance against Nottingham Forest but Smith explained the reasons behind that change.

“He's been getting used to it. It was a tough start at Sheffield United and I thought he had his best game against Nottingham Forest and then I gave him a breather on Tuesday night,” he added.

“I felt, before the game against Bristol City, with them playing one short striker that Josh McEachran could play as a defensive midfielder and dictate the play from there and he did that really well.”
