They may have built up some momentum in the Championship, but the international break is still very much welcome at Brentford.

Having beaten Rotherham to make it two wins and a draw from their last three games, the Bees are now in the middle of a two-week break before hosting Brighton next Saturday.

But even if some momentum is lost, boss Mark Warburton is glad of the chance to give his players a rest before getting them back in training on Monday.

He said: “The international break is a good thing as we've had a tough schedule, playing Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday, including going all the way up to Blackpool midweek, and then playing with 10 men for 75 minutes against Birmingham.

“They trained on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and now have four days off, and then all our focus will be on Brighton. We have to make sure we deal with the break in the right manner.”
