Mark Warburton knows his Brentford side face a tough test against a Sheffield Wednesday side keen to ensure they remain in club's plans after the Owls underwent a change of ownership.

The Bees are battling for a play-off spot, while the Yorkshire club are one of the sides officially in next season's Championship.

But Warburton insisted that would not make tonight's game an easy game, with the Thai Union Frozen Group buying the club in January.

He said: “I'm not having this talk of mid-table obscurity. They're professional players and Sheffield Wednesday have new owners and they'll want to impress.

“It's a tough place to go. I'm told the pitch is not in the best shape at the moment. We'll do what we can do.”

Despite the pitch being in a poor condition, Warburton will not change Brentford's style of play.

He added: “We're not going to change. We've got technically gifted players. They can deal with the football and we'll play as we play.”

Chris Long is a doubt after suffering a knee injury in training, while Tommy Smith and Harlee Dean should be available after taking knocks in the 1-1 draw at Derby.
