Brentford will dust themselves down after Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to Cardiff as they prepare to make the long trip to Blackburn tomorrow.

The Bees missed an opportunity to put breathing space between themselves and seventh-placed Ipswich, who were beaten 4-1 by Middlesbrough as they made critical mistakes against the Bluebirds.

Brentford beat Blackburn at Griffin Park earlier in the season, however Rovers have shown impressive form recently and have an FA Cup quarter final replay with Liverpool to look forward to.

And manager Mark Warburton has taken heart from his side's display against Cardiff and believes his side have a chance at automatic promotion.

He said: “We'll dust ourselves down. If we'd had a bad performance and bad result it'd have been tough but we played very well for 88 minutes of the game.

“We're still sixth in the table. We're right in the mix. People say our run-in is easier but it's tougher than it is.”
