Alan McCormack will be in contention to return to the Brentford squad which travels to Colchester United on Saturday.

Having helped the Bees clinch promotion to the Championship in Good Friday's 1-0 win over Preston, the marauding full back missed the 2-2 draw at MK Dons on Easter Monday.

But boss Mark Warburton, who brought in former Arsenal youngster Nico Yennaris at right back for the Stadium MK clash, revealed that the Irishman should not be a long term absentee.

He said: “Alan only had a small knock and will be in contention for the weekend, but Nico also came in and did very well, so we have options there.”
