Brentford boss Mark Warburton plans to make changes to his side for Tuesday night's Capital One Cup clash at Dagenham.
The Bees started their Championship campaign with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Charlton on Saturday thanks to substitute Tommy Smith's late leveller.
Smith could be handed a start in east London as Warburton shuffles his pack with a trip to Bournemouth to follow at the weekend.
He said: "It’s important to rotate the squad. I don’t think the bench has ever been stronger at Brentford when you look at Harlee Dean, Nico Yennaris, [Marcos] Tebar, Smith, [Richard] Lee and Nick Proschwitz.
"We have to make sure they maintain fitness and rotate them."
