Brentford manager Mark Warburton has signed a new contract with the club.

The Bees boss, who took over the reins in December, has penned a new one-year rolling contract.

Sporting director Frank McParland and assistant manager David Weir have also committed their future to the Championship side by signing similar deals.

Chairman Cliff Crown told the club website:“The past few months have been brilliant for everyone connected with the club.

“To earn promotion to The championship was always the aim and to do so in the style we did, breaking points records, winning 19 homes games out of 23 and doing it with games to spare was exhilarating.

“I am delighted we have secured the futures of Frank, Mark and David.

"When they joined forces around six months ago the club was making great progress.

“Together they have built on those foundations and are looking to crystallise our place in a higher division.

“Brentford FC is now a Championship club continuing to develop on the field and with a new stadium on the horizon.

“Almost 5,000 supporters have already bought season tickets and I know that number will rise.

“I am sure all Brentford fans will see that everyone connected with the Club is united and moving in the same direction and, like me, will be very happy that we have secured three key men to help lead us in to the challenges ahead.”

Warburton has been with the Bees since early 2011, firstly as interim first team coach and then sporting director before becoming manager and leading Brentford to second place in League One and with it promotion.
