Mark Warburton has warned Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom he will have to fight for his place at Brentford.

The Gunners hotshot missed last weekend's win against Port Vale through illness but could make his debut at Walsall tomorrow following his loan move to Griffin Park.

However, with the Bees flying high at the top of League One after a 14-game unbeaten run, Warburton says Akpom may have to wait for his chance.

"Chuba has trained this week and is in contention," said the Bees chief.

"When you take someone on loan they have to have a chance of playing, but there are no guarantees.

"He has to come in and work hard and earn his place like everyone else. I don't want to upset the harmony in the squad.

"Any player in the side will be involved on merit."
