George Saville should be back in contention for Brentford at the weekend after missing last night's 3-0 defeat at Rotherham.

The Brentford midfielder went off injured during Saturday's 3-1 win over Coventry, but did not even make the squad at the New York Stadium.

However, Bees boss Mark Warburton is expecting the on loan Chelsea man to be available for the trip to Oldham.

He said: “George Saville is getting there and hopefully will be okay for Saturday.”

Jake Reeves kept his place for the Rotherham game, despite Adam Forshaw returning to the side after starting on the bench against Coventry.

But Warburton still felt the need to move Alan McCormack from right back into midfield in the second half, just as he had done three days earlier.

He added: “Jake Reeves is doing well in midfield and deserved to stay in there, while Adam Forshaw is a key player for us.

“Alan McCormack is a general and done well – we get more energy from him in the middle.”
