Maxime Colin missed Brentford's 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers after a groin injury, while Lewis Macleod has been ruled out for another two weeks.

After returning from a two month knee injury layoff in November, the Frenchman had been a mainstay in the Brentford defence.

However, after Brentford’s win against Wolves on Tuesday night, Head Coach Dean Smith revealed that Colin had picked up another injury and is unsure when he will return.

Smith said: “Maxine felt his groin and his abdominal area for a few weeks and we’ve been managing it, but it was too much after the game on Saturday.

Injured: Maxime Colin

“I’m not sure how long he is going to be out for, we are going to have him checked out and then see what the injury is.”

Meanwhile, it also emerged on Tuesday night that Scottish midfielder Lewis MacLeod has suffered another injury in training, and will be out for two weeks.

MacLeod has been unlucky with injuries since joining the club in January 2015, after suffering hamstring problems which kept him out for a year.

The 21-year-old eventually made his Brentford debut in the away defeat to Brighton on February 5 but unfortunately for Macleod it seems that the injury curse has struck again.
