Chris Long will miss Brentford's trip to Reading on Saturday with a gashed leg, manager Mark Warburton has confirmed.

Long has scored four goals in 10 appearances for the Bees, with eight of those coming as a substitute but has not been seen since the 4-1 win against Fulham on Good Friday.

The Everton loanee suffered the cut just above the knee and it has required stitches, which will be removed this weekend.

But it will be touch and go as to whether he will be fit to face Wigan on the final say of the season.

Manager Mark Warburton said: “He got a gash just above the knee so the stitches come out this weekend. Hopefully he'll be with us for the last game.”

Brentford will also be missing Scott Hogan and Lewis Macleod due to long-term injuries.
