Mark Warburton wanted Leicester defender Liam Moore to return to Brentford because of the way he fits into the dressing room.

The 22-year-old rejoined the Bees on loan for the rest of the season after spending a brief spell at the club in the 2012/13 season, making seven appearances.

And his previous knowledge of the squad was a big factor in Warburton moving to bring him back to Griffin Park.

He said: “He has the quality and experience and the boys know him. He fitted in well into the dressing room last time. He was here with Harlee Dean, Jonathan Douglas etc.

“He looked very good in training and it will be a very good signing.”

Got his man: Mark Warburton

Moore has played 11 times for the Foxes in the Premier League so far this season and played the full 90 minutes in their famous 5-3 win over Manchester United.

Warburton added: “He has the experience of promotion to the Premier League. He's got pace, power and poise on the ball. He's a great character.

“We've been trying to get him for a long time now. We were down to one centre half on Sunday as Tony Craig had a dead leg and James Tarkowski had a whack on the calf.

“We have to realise we have 13 huge games coming up and we have to make sure we have suitable cover. He adds to the competition for places.”

Moore will go straight into the squad for Saturday's trip to Birmingham.
