Brentford boss Dean Smith has confirmed he and his squad have been given a massive injury boost ahead of Saturday's London derby with Millwall.

The Bees welcome back forward Lasse Vibe in what will strenghthen their attacking options, while John Egan and Andreas Bjelland will also feature.

Brentford, yet to win at home this season, will see the Lions as an ideal game to do just that but know they'll have to work extremely hard to achieve it.

Smith gave a detailed response at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and was in good spirits, knowing his matchday squad will be boosted significantly.

"John Egan got concussed against Bolton after just five or six minutes and missed a couple of games," said the boss.

"He's trained all through the international break and was called up into the provisional Irish team but we managed to keep him around and he's trained very well.

"He played around an hour against Exeter on Tuesday so he's fully available for selection.

"Lewis McLeod is back and has been training with us fully for the last two or three weeks and it was great he also got an hour on Tuesday.

"I am really pleased with him and he didn't look out of place, he has a few games now for the reserve team where he can continue that rehabilitation.

"He will probably be a few more weeks.

"Luke Daniels also played and Lasse Vibe, who we haven't seen since the Ipswich game with a heel injury.

"Lasse will be ready and available for the squad on Saturday, which will be a really big boost for everyone

"He's a renowned goal-scorer since he's been here and done very well. Unfortunately he came on against Ipswich and had to come straight off.

"So it's a big boost for the players and the staff that he's back.

"Andreas Bjelland went off with Denmark, and he came off injured against Derby County, but he's fully fit and back straight into the squad.

"And Sergi Canos has come back and done some contact work today, so I expect him to be back and pushing for the squad next week."
