Brentford made it two Championship defeats on the spin as they were edged out by Nottingham Forest in a seven-goal thirller.

John Egan had given the Bees the lead with just over five minutes of the first half remaining.

However, the Brentford defence had a nightmare 10 minutes, surrounding half-time as they shipped three goals.

Andreas Bouchalakis scored fine finishes either side of the break with Daryl Murphy tapping in in between.

Andreas Bjelland did give Brentford hope in the closing stages before Kieran Dowell eventually put the game beyond reach.

There was time for Neal Maupay to pull a goal back before the end but it wasn't enough to rescue a point.

Below are how the Bees players rated at Griffin Park.

Dan Bentley – Nothing he could have done with any of the goals to tell the truth. 6

Henrik Dalsgaard – Looked good going forward but would not be pleased with his work defensively. 6

John Egan – Another home opener goal but will not be happy with the defensive job he and his side did. 6

Andreas Bjelland – Opened his Brentford account but, much like the rest of the back four, will be displeased with the defensive display. 6

Rico Henry – Some lively touches going forward but allowed Tendayi Darikwa in for Forest's second. 5

Josh McEachran – It wasn't the midfielder's day and he was taken off early in the second half. 5

Nico Yennaris – Some bright touches but the 120 minutes at AFC Wimbledon seemed to have an impact as the game went on. 6

Kamo Mokotjo – One of the bright spots of the afternoon. Looked to break up play. 7

Jota – We all know that the Spaniard is better than what we saw on display from him today. 6

Florian Jozefzoon – Some good touches but others he will be disappointed with. 6

Lasse Vibe – Worked hard but didn't get the chances. 6

Substitutes
