Brentford picked up their first point of the season but they will feel like it's two points dropped after Bobby Reid scored a late equaliser to steal a point for Bristol City.

The Bees had 24 shots to the Robins' seven, 10 of those were on target but for the brilliance of Frank Fielding in the City goal, the west Londoners would have walked it.

Josh Brownhill scored the opener for the visitors after being presented the chance after Yoann Barbet's poor clearance.

Fielding denied a host of players, notably Henrik Dalsgaard and Romaine Sawyers, as he made single handed bid to win the game for the visitors.

However, Ollie Watkins scored a fine headed goal from a Jota cross and Neal Maupay's strike looked to have won it.

However, a late defensive lapse allowed Bobby Reid in to rescue a point the Robins scarcely deserved.

Below are how the Bees players rated.

Dan Bentley – Made a good save from an Bristol City break. Nothing he could have done about the goals. Got away with a bad clearance in stoppage time. 7

Henrik Dalsgaard – An improved defensive showing and lively going forward. 7

Harlee Dean – His presence was needed on Tuesday night. A dominant performance. 8

Yoann Barbet – The Frenchman's error gifted Bristol City their early opener. Redeemed himself with a clearance in stoppage time earning a hug from Bentley. 7

Maxime Colin – Playing out of position. He was shaky on occasions but did enough at left back. 7

Josh McEachran – It's bitterly disappointing to see him stretchered off. 6

Nico Yennaris – Produced a strong performance in the middle, driving the team forward. 7

Romaine Sawyers – Did an excellent job and was unfortunate not to score. 7

Jota – Much improved on the first two games. 8

Lasse Vibe – It wasn't the Danish striker's night. 5

Ollie Watkins – Man of the match by a country mile. Was superb from first minute to last. 9
