SPORTSMAN'S LEAGUE DIVISION THREE RBL FULHAM............0 Eagles....................0 Match Abandoned

A brawl caused RBL Fulham's clash with Eagles to be abandoned after just 60 minutes on Sunday.

Trouble flared when an Eagles player reacted after a strong Anthony Bentley challenge.

The visiting keeper ran out of his goal to get involved in the melee, and the referee then called a premature halt to proceedings.

But RBL boss Ian McMinn claims it was nothing but 'handbags', and insists the man in black just walked off the pitch without giving an explanation.

He said: "It was nothing but handbags at five paces, and just a bit of a fracas.

"Their keeper ran out of the goal and tried to hit one of our players, then the referee just walked away without saying anything."

Fulham captain David Andrews came closest to giving the hosts the lead with a header, while Ricky Scott shot straight at the keeper.
