Dannie Bulman is celebrating his 36th birthday today with a new AFC Wimbledon contract.

The experienced central midfielder has agreed fresh terms to keep him at Kingsmeadow until the summer of 2016.

Bulman has been a key player for the Dons this season and made more than 30 appearances in the midfield engine room.

Boss Neal Ardley told the club’s official website: “We are absolutely delighted with Dannie and it’s great that he wants to commit to us for the future.

“He’s a player that we wanted to tie up for next season. This is something that we don’t normally do and we would usually wait until the end of the season.

“However, Dannie has been outstanding for most of this season.

“Dannie is still more than capable of continuing to play a massive part because of his fitness levels.

“We put an offer to him that he’s signed and it’s great that Dannie will be here next season. I brought him here thinking that he would play games and he would be one of the best midfielders in the league.

“His form has not dipped this season and his ability to show high-energy consistently has been impressive.”

Bulman starts in today’s home game with Accrington Stanley to take his appearance tally to 33 Dons games this term.
