Debutant Gary Johnson was on target as Beesotted started their Chiswick & District Intermediate campaign with victory over Whitton Athletic on Sunday. Johnson put the Brentford supporters' side ahead, before Kevin Farren doubled their lead when he latched on to Rob Burville's pass.

Goal-machine Jamie Fraser added a third straight after the break when he swept home Ollie Mayo's through-ball. However, the visitors pulled one back, and the Bees had Jamie Harris to thank for keeping their lead intact when he saved a spot kick.

Matt Hills marked his first game in a Bees shirt with a man-of-the-match display as they hung on for a 3-1 win. Meanwhile, Will Emmett bagged four goals as the reserves thumped Isleworth Victoria Veterans 5-0 in Division Two.

Andy Bell, Ross Malone and Stuart Nixon starred for Richard Smith's men.
