First half goals from Charlie MacDonald, Glenn Poole and Nathan Elder gave the Bees a comfortable 3-1 win at home to Morecambe on Tuesday night and lifted them up to second in the League Two table.

Victory also extended the team's unbeaten league run to 11 games since the opening day of the season.

Boss Andy Scott said his side produced some of their best football of the season during the first 45 minutes, when they hit back impressively after conceding after just five minutes.

"I was really pleased with the first half," Scott said. "Some of the football we played was the best we have played all season. We could and probably should have scored a couple more.

"we are second in the table, unbeaten in 11 and we are creating chances."
