Yoann Barbet has called on his Brentford team-mates to focus on themselves and not just think about stopping Leeds striker Chris Wood.

The Bees take on the promotion chasers at Griffin Park on Tuesday night and the New Zealand international, who has 27 goals this season, is the Yorkshire side's biggest threat.

But, while the Frenchman knows the striker is a dangerous player, the most important thing is to focus on what Brentford do, not worry about the opposition.

“It'll be really tough. They want to get promoted and have a big striker (Wood) who scores most of the goals for their team,” Barbet said.

“We don't have to focus only on him. We have to play our game and not think about them.

“We know we are a good team who play football so we just have to play, especially on a good Griffin Park pitch.”

Brentford are looking for their third win on the spin after following up their 5-3 win at Burton with a 2-0 triumph against Bristol City on Saturday.

Barbet added: “We were really good in the first half and deserved to be ahead at half time. The second half was tough and some lads had cramp like me.

“We had some luck when they hit the post but we deserved the win.”
