Ron Haynes and Warren Collins both hit hat-tricks as Bedfont Town went back to the top of Middlesex County League Division Two on Saturday.

After taking a 2-0 lead, Bedfont stopped playing simple football and started trying to dribble through the mud, allowing CB Hounslow United Social A back into the game with two set-piece goals.

But a sharp half-time talk from boss Jim Cushen put Bedfont right and they walked away with it in the second-half.

Ben Melhuish and Leon Austin were also on target as they won 8-3, with Haynes man-of-the-match.

The only other games which survived the weather in the Middlesex County League saw CB Hounslow United Social beat South Acton 7-1 in Division One (West), and Junior All Stars held 4-4 by Hilltop in Division Two.
