Barnet coach Gary Waddock is glad to return to The Hive this weekend after away day blues at Luton Town.

The Bees five-match unbeaten run came to an abrupt end as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Hatters at Kenilworth Road.

Barnet have won their last three home matches in all competitions and Waddock believes they can keep the sequence going against Morecombe tomorrow.

He told Bees Player: “After defeat against Luton the lads have come in and been really bright and sharp, we are looking forward to the home fixture.

“It was a tough trip to Luton, they are a good side and it’s always nice to play at The Hive in front of your home fans.

“We’re looking to maintain our home form and even improve on it if we can.”

Waddock also revealed that the coaching staff have done all they can to prepare for this fixture as a win would see Barnet move level on points with the Shrimps.

He said: “Martin took the long journey up there to see them live. We’ve watched all the DVDs so we’ll be prepared for them.”

Kevin Lisbie finally recorded some game time on Tuesday night as he started for the Bees against Staines in the Middlesex Senior Cup.

The striker has been short of fitness after suffering a long term injury but Waddock has indicated he could be close to a first-team return.

He said: “He played midweek in the cup game at Staines. That will help his recovery.

“He’s slowly getting there, he’s worked hard in training and it was an added bonus getting those minutes.”

Bira Dembele and Graham Stack are still on the injury list and won’t be rushed back according to Waddock.
