Michael Gash scored his third goal in two games as Barnet hammered rivals Dagenham and Redbridge in League Two.

Gash scored twice as Barnet powered to a second consecutive win, as his double strike sandwiched a brilliant effort from Andy Yiadom.

And despite a late goal from the visitors, the Bees never looked like surrendering the lead after a powerful performance.

Gash got the hosts off to a brilliant start after being played through by John Akinde, and made the most of his return to the starting line up by firing home inside 120 seconds.

The game appeared became a more even contest before Yiadom suddenly turned his man and whipped an effort into the far corner from 20 yards.

Both sides missed chances after Yiadom hit an effort wide and substitute Jodi Jones had his fiery shot saved, before Gash slammed an effort home following Aaron McLean’s free kick.

And Akinde was kept out by the woodwork to prevent Barnet running away with the match, but Jodi Jones hammered home a free-kick to ensure the visitors restored some pride to the scoreline.
