Reuben Reid will be hoping to cause AFC Wimbledon a spot of bother on Tuesday night having got into trouble himself.

The Plymouth Argyle striker was arrested after an alleged affray near a nightclub just hours after scoring the winner against Tranmere earlier this month.

Reid has been bailed until November 25 pending further inquiries and in the meantime is free to play for the Pilgrims against the Dons at Kingsmeadow.

And the former West Brom striker will be out to make a name for himself for all the right reasons

Argyle reporter for the Plymouth Herald, Chris Errington, thinks Reid is the one for the Dons to watch.

Errington said. “He’is a powerful player with plenty of pace. Reid is a solid number nine who signed a two-year deal in the summer after impressing while on loan from Yeovil last season. Plymouth were very keen to get him in and he is the main man really.”

John Sheridan has gathered a group of young players at Home Park and Lewis Alessandra, at 25, and Curtis Nelson, just 21, are two more of Herrington’s recommendations.

Alessandra scored the winner for Plymouth against Carlisle at the weekend and Errington said: “He can play as a central striker or out wide,” he added.

“They have been playing him out wide this season and that makes use of his speed and direct style.

"Lewis likes to run at defenders and outside of Reuben he is probably the biggest goal threat.

“Curtis Nelson is the team captain despite being just 21. He signed a new two-year contract with the club in the summer and, despite his age, has already played around 150 games for Argyle. He’s a very promising young defender.

“Argyle have a fairly young squad with one or two 30-year-olds. What formation do they play? Take your pick. They’ve played absolutely everything already this season.
