Dean Parrett isn't expecting an easy ride this weekend when AFC Wimbledon travel to relegation-threatened Port Vale.

The Midlands outfit have up to two games in hand on those around them in League One and will be scrapping for maximum points on Saturday.

Wimbledon will go into the game in confidence, however, following their 3-1 win over Rochdale on Tuesday night.

And Parrett says he and his team-mates won't be taking their foot off the gas, despite seemingly confirmed their safety.

"We are going to go into the game on Saturday wanting to win, as professionals. That's what you want to do, win games," he told Get West London.

"Every game in this league is a tough game, no matter where you are in the league.

"But obviously when you're fighting relegation they try slightly harder, and at this time of the season if you're a mid-table team and you haven't really got ambition to try and chase the play-offs, sometimes you can go into holiday mode.

"But we haven't got that here at Wimbledon, we're looking to finish as high as we can."
