Tom Elliott was the hero as AFC Wimbledon came from 3-0 down with 10 minutes remaining to win 4-3 at Curzon Ashton to reach the FA Cup third round.

Former Liverpool youngster Adam Morgan had hit a hat-trick, with the first coming after just 32 seconds, to put the Nash 3-0 up and seemingly heading for an almighty cup upset.

The first, from 20 yards, was something special, the second was a header from close range with the third rifled home from close range.

Elliott pulled a goal back in the 80th minute to give Neal Ardley's side some hope and incredibly 162 seconds later they were level as Dom Poleon made it 3-2 before Tyrone Barnett levelled the scores.

And, with virtually the last kick of the game the Dons striker headed home to give them a famous win and put them in the hat for the third round.

Elliott told BT Sport: “I've got no words for this. It was a hard game. Curzon Ashton are a quality side but we dug deep as we did against Bury. We've got the win and into the third round.

“The club is built on never giving up. The fans have come all this way and were our 12th man today.”

The result was harsh on Curzon as, for large spells of the game, they showed themselves worthy of their 3-0 lead but Wimbledon's extra fitness and momentum saw them through.
