Jake Reeves is ready to scrap it out with former Wombles favourite Sammy Moore when AFC Wimbledon visit Leyton Orient.

Reeves insists the two were mates, both during his loan spell with the Dons in Olympic year (2012) and again when he joined the club permanently in January.

However, by the summer the 22-year-old's emergence meant Neal Ardley's engine room was not big enough for the both of them, so, having lost his mantle to Reeves, Moore called time on six years with the Dons and headed east across the capital to the Os' where he is flourishing once more.

Reeves doesn't expect hard feelings between the two, but with Orient in the play-off positions and Dons hot on their heels he knows the battle in midfield will be fierce.

"I'm sure there will be a few tackles flying around," he said.

"I've heard nothing from him yet ( in terms of text or pre-match banter) but he and I have always got on well, so there are no hard feelings.

"For him in his personal situation it was a good time for him to move on and he is obviously doing really well at Leyton Orient, so we are all buzzing for him to be honest."

Saturday's meeting at Brisbane Road will be the first ever between the two sides with the Dons looking to bounce back from their defeat to Dagenham in midweek.
