AFC Wimbledon's latest signing Kelle Roos is hoping the Dons can dispel memories of Yeovil with a win over Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

An excellent January for the Dons came to an abrupt end last weekend when relegation threatened Yeovil produced a shock comeback to win 3-2 at Kingsmeadow.

The home side have now dropped to 10th in the table and the result ended a four-game winning run.

But the club are now looking to get their play-off chase back on track as they travel to another west country side in Bristol Rovers.

And Roos, a 23-year-old goalkeeper, could make his debut for Wimbledon having joined from Championship club Derby County for the rest of the season.

Neal Ardley: Hurt by Yeovil defeat

The former PSV Eindhoven player made five appearances for the Rams last year, and has already spent time at Rotherham on loan during the current campaign.

He told Dons Player: “I am looking forward to the match because they get big crowds and the travelling fans from Wimbledon are amazing as well.

“The main thing for me is to come in and make an impact and give the defence some stability.

“I want them to trust me as well as the manager and fans; I want them to feel they have a great keeper in goal.

“I want to stay fit and sharp and help Wimbledon get into the play-offs."

The Dons could also give a first start to Connor Smith following his release by Premier League Watford.

The 24-year-old midfielder was an unused substitute in the defeat to Yeovil.
