AFC Wimbledon pair Neal Ardley and Lyle Taylor have been nominated for Sky Bet Football League manager and player of the month respectively for April.

Manager Ardley led his side on a run of five straight wins throughout the month, which were ended only by the defeat to Portsmouth last Tuesday.

That was followed by a goalless draw at Stevenage on Saturday, but results elsewhere still meant the Dons qualified for the play-offs.

Up for the gong: Neal Ardley

Stiker Taylor, meanwhile, took his tally for the season to 21 with six goals in April, including the winner against Leyton Orient and match-winning braces at both Wycombe and Dagenham & Redbridge.

Ardley is up against Accrington's John Coleman, Portsmouth's Paul Cook and Cambridge's Shaun Derry, while Taylor's rivals for the prize are Barnet's John Akinde, Accrington's Tarique Fosu-Henry and Stevenage's Fraser Franks.

All winners will be announced on Friday, with voting done by a Football League panel of experts.
